Senior Policy Analyst, Mexico
Job Description:
Our client is a strategy advisory firm that works with global blue-chip companies and their executive leadership to build strategy and manage risk through the lens of geopolitics and macroeconomics. The firm is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst based in Mexico City to provide strategic analysis at the intersection of policy, the global economy, and supply chain dynamics at both the federal and state levels. The ideal candidate will have expertise in areas such as trade, infrastructure, and labor policy, with the ability to provide both macro-level and tactical insights. This role involves conducting research on key topics like trade agreements, infrastructure development, and the broader economic context, with a particular focus on how these factors impact global supply chains.
The Senior Analyst will work closely with internal teams to identify strategic trends in the Mexican economic and political landscape that affect our clients’ global operations. As a key contributor, you’ll play an integral role in delivering high-level client projects, including risk assessments, strategic planning, and geopolitical forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze developments in Mexico's policy circles and relevant legislation at the federal and state levels.
- Produce high-impact, client-focused analysis, including forecasts, trend analysis, and scenario planning.
- Manage workstreams and deliverables for C-level strategy engagements.
- Develop content for clients, including articles, white papers, podcasts, webinars, and presentations.
- Collaborate with experts across regions and industries to assess trade, infrastructure, economic, and business environment trends.
- Support client engagements, including public presentations.
Experience:
- Strong analytical skills with experience delivering clear, evidence-driven insights and forecasts.
- Excellent writing, problem-solving, communication, and presentation-building abilities.
- Experience with global supply chain analysis is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proven collaboration skills and adaptability to changing requirements.
- Creative thinker, capable of developing strategic insights to help clients navigate risks and seize opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English required.
- 5+ years of relevant consulting or professional experience with a deep network in Mexico City.
- Master’s degree in political science, economics, international relations, business, or related field preferred.
Additional Information:
- Full-time, in-office position.
- Occasional travel within the city may be required.
