Senior Portfolio Manager - Global Macro

Hanover is currently seeking a seasoned Portfolio Manager with a specialization in Global Macro strategies on behalf of our client. In this critical position, you will assume responsibility for managing a substantial capital allocation while ensuring meticulous risk management across all active positions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of a substantial capital allocation, executing and monitoring Macro strategy independently.
• Develop portfolios designed to capitalize on global macroeconomic themes, aiming for asymmetric returns with minimal correlation to traditional markets. Identify and exploit divergent perceptions regarding macroeconomic evolution, fiscal and monetary policy, deviating from market consensus.
• Conduct thorough geopolitical and fundamental economic analyses of emerging economies, targeting unique opportunity sets in developing regions.
• Implement rigorous risk management practices, continually evaluating positions and investment theses.
• Collaborate seamlessly within a global team environment, contributing to and benefiting from collective insights and expertise.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated track record in Emerging Markets Macro, evidenced by strong investment proficiency and a Sharpe Ratio exceeding 2.0
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in portfolio management, preferably within a hedge fund setting.
• Proficient in conducting fundamental geopolitical and economic analyses, capable of conducting in-depth research at the country level to identify unique opportunities.
• Knowledge of liquid assets available to execute investment views.
• Possess humility and thrive in a highly collaborative global team environment, demonstrating a keen willingness to learn from and alongside peers.
