Workplaces is responsible for the active management of the Global Real Estate Portfolio including leases and transactions of all the properties, all design, construction and operations for offices, showrooms and DC’s for adidas.
Crisis Management is the process by which an organisation responds to a major event that threatens to harm the organisation, its stakeholders, or the general public. The welfare and safety of personnel is a priority to adidas and as such it is imperative that processes are in place to enable an incident to be dealt with in an effective manner.
As a global company, adidas is operating in a wide range of countries with diverse security situations. We support the business operationally by developing our security and safety capabilities and enabling the business to operate globally in a safe and secure environment. Volatility and uncertainty emerge from all sorts of driving factors creating risks, incidents or crisis that will vary considerably both in nature and in gravity. If unadressed and unresolved, it can generate significant to harm employees, disrupt operations or damage reputation.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Crisis Management and Event Risk Team in local crisis management and event risk functions.
- Have oversight on events and liaise with event owner to help in the delivery of safe and compliant events.
- Act as the local champion to ensure the Event Risk Platform is used correctly and support the BUs with documentation compliance.
- Support in conducting a geopolitical and security risk analysis on an ad hoc basis.
- Review and distribute relevant intelligence obtained from open sources.
- Scenario planning with strong focus on situation development
- Evaluation of primary and secondary impact for adidas.
- Support on local incident and crisis team requests and convene teams if required.
- Act as the local contact and representative for Crisis Management and Event Risk.
- Within adidas: Crisis management, event risk, travel risk and other Security functions, Health & Safety, Profit Protection, Information Security, GBS, Risk Management, regional Security teams, Markets and BUs
- Outside adidas: liaison with network partners, foundations, think tanks, security vendors and governmental departments.
- Monitoring knowledge and research skills
- Data analysis
- Crisis, Incident and Business Continuity Management knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with any additional language skills a bonus.
- Advanced MS Office skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and plan
- Ability to dynamically adapt to a changing situation
- Ability to methodically coordinate responses to incidents and chair crisis / incident response teams.
- Provide on the ground assistance at events and coordinate various stakeholders to ensure safe delivery.
- Quick perception and keen sense of critical changes in world events
- Good geopolitical understanding
- Degree in crisis/risk/security management, law, political or social science or sociology is an advantage but not compulsory.
- Educated to degree level, or industry recognised qualification
- Professional experience (3-5 years) in a security related field
- Experience of incident management and events
