Role Responsibilities:
Government Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with government officials, regulators, and policymakers across the APAC region.
- Represent the company at government meetings, public forums, and industry events.
Policy Advocacy:
- Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that could impact the company’s operations.
- Develop and execute advocacy strategies to shape favorable policy outcomes.
- Draft position papers, policy briefs, and responses to regulatory consultations.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Engage with industry associations, think tanks, and non-governmental organizations to support the company’s policy objectives.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on regulatory matters.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations across the region.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to government relations and regulatory compliance.
Crisis Management:
- Support the company in managing government relations during crises or high-stakes situations.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, International Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs, within the APAC region; Food & Beverages industry experience a plus.
- Strong understanding of the political, economic, and regulatory landscape across APAC countries.
- Proven track record of successful government engagement and policy advocacy.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional APAC languages is a plus.
