The Opportunity
Signum Global Advisors, the leading geopolitical risk and macro advisory firm, is looking for a London-based experienced business development professional dedicated to expand our clientele amongst UK and European institutional investors.
An entrepreneurial spirit, interest in geopolitics and international affairs, and an understanding of how policy affects markets are essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new institutional clients and expand the existing client base.
- Research, identify and prospect different institutional clients that are exposed to geopolitical risks in both developed and emerging markets.
- Establish rapport and build credibility with clients through networking opportunities and effectively presenting solutions that encompass the client’s understanding of geopolitical and macro risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as research and operations to ensure seamless execution and delivery of services to clients.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of Signum’s events in London and across Europe.
- Kickstart and maintain relationships with relevant trade and membership associations to develop new commercial ties and find ways to elevate Signum’s profile.
What we’re looking for
- A proven track record in relationship management, business development or sales roles, ideally within the financial services, political risk or macro research industries.
- An existing network of contacts across the investor and/or corporate community in London and other European capitals.
- Experience in conceiving, developing, and implementing partnerships throughout their full cycles, from deal sourcing, to building business cases, negotiating agreements, driving and tracking results.
- Negotiation skills and ability to build and leverage relationships at senior levels.
- Ability to craft compelling proposals for our prospective clients.
- Ideally London based (other European capitals can work too).
- Fluency in an additional European language such as French, German, or Spanish would be a plus.
